Islamabad, 11 March 2023 (GNP): The Pakistani rupee strengthened against the dollar two days back as the supply of dollars in the local market increased. This led to a decline in the price of gold.
According to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the price of gold (24 carats) declined by Rupees 200 per tola and Rupees 172 per 10 kilos to settle at Rupees 197,500 and Rupees 169,324, respectively.

Although the economy continues to be dire, the yellow metal has lost Rupees 2,500 overall during the current week and has only experienced one gain.
