Twitter gets hacked with stolen email addresses

Millions of users have had their email addresses stolen in data hack on Twitter.

New York, 6 January 2023 (GNP): According to reports, Twitter has been hacked; the hackers stole the email addresses of more than 200 million users and posted them on an online hacking platform. It may have taken place as early as 2021, which was before Elon Musk took over the company last year.

The identity and location of the hackers behind the breach remain unknown. Twitter has not issued any official statement regarding the scenario yet.

Alon Gal, co-founder of Israeli cybersecurity monitoring company, Hudson Rock stated: “The breach will, unfortunately, lead to a lot of hacking, targeted phishing and doxxing. This is one of the most significant leaks I’ve seen.”

Many celebrities and social media personalities like Piers Morgans and Manoj Bajpayee have gotten their account hacked and informed their fans to not interact with their Twitter accounts.
