Islamabad, 4 January 2023 (GNP): Renowned journalist and anchorperson Mishal Bukhari, who belonged to Express News, passed away on January 2, 2023, at the age of 38. The cause of her death was confirmed to be cancer.
It is important to note that she was among the senior and veteran journalists of Pakistan. According to reports, Mishal had been struggling with cancer for the past two years.
Her husband, Ameer Abbas, who’s a TV Anchor at Bol News, said, “My wife, journalist Mishal Bukhari, a beautiful heart, an incomparable personality, an incredibly patient, unbelievably brave woman, left an unbearable shock after fighting cancer for two years.”

Her funeral was held yesterday, March 3, 2023, at Jamia Al-Muntazar in Lahore. The Information Minister of Pakistan, Mariyum Aurangzeb, stated that she was deeply saddened by the news of Ms. Bukhari’s demise and that her services for the media industry would never be forgotten.
Veteran journalist Rauf Klasra, who appeared with Ms. Bukhari as an expert in the talk show, Aap Kay Muqabil, has described her death as a huge loss to the media industry.
He wrote in a tweet on Twitter: “Deeply saddened over the demise of Mishal Bukhari. Such a decent and wonderful person.” Other journalists and politicians have also offered their condolences to her family and prayed for her in their posts on social media.
