Top diplomat of EU has to visit Iran amid the nuclear tensions

The Iran and world nations relations are deteriorating due to the US president withdrawal from the nuclear deal

Iran, 3 February 2020 (GNP) :
Joseph Borrell will meet president Hassan Rouhani to minimize the country’s nuclear tentions.It will be his first visit since taking charge in December.
In his two day trip that is starting from Monday, he is going to meet Iranian foreign Minister Jawad zarif and parliamentary speaker,Ali Larijani,his office said in a statement. Borrell’s visit aims “to de-escalate tensions and seek opportunities for political solutions to the current crisis,” said the office of the EU’s high representative for foreign affairs and security policy.
The Iran and world nations relations are deteriorating due to the US president withdrawal from the nuclear deal in 2018.The US has announced that it will exert more pressure on Iran through its crippling sanctions.
Borrell’s visit will allow him “to convey the EU’s strong commitment to preserve” the nuclear deal, known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, and discuss cooperation between the EU and Iran, his office said. (GNP)
