The World Kashmir Awareness Forum held in Washington

Washington, 5 October 2021 (GNP/TDI): On Monday, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States Asad Majeed Khan attended the World Kashmir Awareness Forum held in Washington. The event convened to brief the Pakistani American community of India’s illegal subjugation, oppression, and human rights violations of the Kashmiris.

Ambassador Majeed enjoined several renowned representatives at the event, including Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Shehryar Afridi, and Public Relations Expert and South Asian specialist Syed Ghulam Nabi Fai. Shehryar Afridi addressed the forum on “Kashmir Dispute: The Role of Pakistan” and implored the world’s attention towards the Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK). Asad Majeed Khan also apprised the audience of Indian subjugation and oppression towards the Kashmiris, besides urging the public and the international community to take effective measures on the subject.

The officials maintained that Pakistan will keep supporting Kashmir as a humanitarian cause and will never compromise on the matter. Regarding the uninterrupted and prolonged atrocities of the Indian government in occupied Kashmir, the respective speakers urged the public, regional states, media platforms, and the international community to collectively raise their voices against the human rights violations of Kashmiris.
