The European Union will support the Government of Pakistan with €12.7M over the next 5 years for technical assistance to strengthen Public Financial Management (PFM). The new programme focuses on Sindh, Balochistan and at the federal level.
A signing ceremony took place at the Economic Affairs Division, Government of Pakistan on Friday, which was attended by Federal Minister for Economic Affairs Barrister Hammad Azhar, EU Ambassador Androulla Kaminara and Secretary EAD Dr. Syed Pervaiz Abbas.
The EU’s technical assistance will be in areas such as policy based budgeting, forecasting, execution and performance reporting.
The support will help the Pakistan Government effectively manage resources and improve quality of public services for citizens.
