Islamabad, 14 December 2022 (GNP): The Tajik President was welcomed at the PM House by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The visiting dignitary received a salute from a detachment of the armed services. A group from each of the three services presented the guard of honour, which President Rahmon examined.
President Emomali Rahmon also planted a tree on the grounds of the PM’s House in Pakistan. The two presidents then moved on to meetings with their respective delegations.

At the invitation of the primer of Pakistan, Shehbaz Sharif, the Tajik President, is on a two-day official visit to Pakistan on 14-15 December 2022.
Pakistan and Tajikistan have close ties to cultural, religious, and historical beliefs. Both Pakistan and Tajikistan are common views on international and national perspectives.
Tajikistan is a neighbour country that links through the Wakhan corridor, connects to central Asia, and is a trusted ally of Pakistan.

During this period of visit, Both sides will exchange views on various aspects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan. A number of agreements would be signed (MOU).
The Tajikistan president’s visit to Pakistan will pave the way to a New destination. This would be a fruitful trip for both sides, Tajikistan and Pakistan it strengthens the geo-political and economic partnership.
