New Delhi 28th May 2020 (GNP): Spokesman for the Secretary-General of the United Nations Stéphane Dujarric has warned both neighboring countries India and China to ease their boundary tensions as soon as possible. however, Ladakh is a flashpoint these days due to India-China’s military stand-off. Line of Actual Control is the de-facto boundary between India and China which demarcates the Indian controlled territory and the Chinese controlled territory. The line was marked after the 1962 war between both Asian countries. During Covid-19, the world has witnessed major military build-up by both the Indian and Chinese armies.
President Donald Trump has also offered his services as a mediator to resolve the border tensions of both countries. In his latest tweet president said, “The US is ready to “arbitrate” between India and China to end their “raging border dispute”.
