Giorgia Meloni, the Prime Minister of Italy, also paid a visit to the Ukrainian capital on Tuesday to meet with Zelenskyy.

She vowed to continue assisting him in fending off Russian strikes but refrained from supplying fighter planes.

According to Spain’s Secretary of Defense Margarita Robles, who addressed lawmakers in the lower house on Wednesday, the transfer of six German-made 2A4 Leopard combat tanks to Ukraine will take place once they undergo repairs.

Since the start of the conflict, Spain has trained 800 Ukrainian troops there and is one of many NATO allies that have committed to supply new tanks to Ukraine, she said.

According to Sánchez’s staff, he also intends to travel to Bucha and Irpin, two cities close to Kyiv that have come to be associated with suspected Russian war crimes.

He will also place a wreath at a war memorial, said by the staff.
