PTI members to resign if CM Punjab refuses Imran Khan orders

PTI lawmakers will resign from the provisional assembly if chief minister Pervaiz Elahi does not abolish the Punjab assembly

Islamabad,13 December 2022(GNP): Hashim Dogar says if Chief Minister of Punjab Pervaiz Elahi does not dissolve the Punjab Assembly, PTI members will quit the interim assembly.

Hashim Dogar, the provincial government’s Punjab minister of irrigation, stated that if the Chief Minister of Punjab is unwilling to dissolve the assembly, the PTI’s members in the provincial Assembly are prepared to give up their seats in the assembly.

In his statement at the end of the Long March in Pindi, former Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that they had agreed to eliminate this corrupt system and disband provincial assemblies. He went on to say that his party members had determined they would no longer be a part of this system.

Following this declaration, CM Punjab Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi, Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan and son of CM Punjab, issued a statement stating that they fully back Imran Khan and stand by his decision.
