Doha (GNP): Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif visited Doha, Qatar on 30 October, at the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani.
On his arrival in Doha, PM Shehbaz said, “During this special visit, I look forward to a productive exchange of views with the Qatari leadership to further enhance our brotherly relations. I will also inaugurate a special exhibition at Qatar Museum highlighting the cultural heritage of Pakistan.”
During this visit, PM Shehbaz met with Sheikh Tamim Bin Hammad, Emir of Qatar on 31st October and had a significant meeting with him. Therefore, he expressed his gratitude to the Qatar government for their great and warm hospitality, emphasizing the importance of such relationships.
Moreover, he shared the reflections of the meeting, “We reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship and brotherhood between Pakistan and Qatar, discussed new avenues for cooperation in trade, potential areas of investment, energy, and culture.”
Additionally, the Prime Minister said “Both affirmed mutual resolve to expand investment and enhance trade ties between our countries. The regional situation in Palestine and the Middle East was also discussed. I deeply appreciate Qatar’s untiring efforts, under HH the Amir, to bring peace to the region.”

Another highlight of this visit is PM Shehbaz’s inauguration of the museum in Qatar. He shared about the statement of inauguration and said, “Delighted and honored to attend the pre-inaugural viewing of “Manzar: Pakistan Art and Architecture 1940 to Today” at Qatar Museum.”

Further, he said “Grateful to Her Excellency Sheikh Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani for her vision in curating and showcasing our cultural heritage. This exhibition is a testament to the enduring friendship and shared values between our two brotherly countries.”
Additionally, he added, “Together, we would continue to strengthen our people-to-people partnership and foster better mutual understanding, as we jointly celebrate our shared cultural heritage.”

Lastly, PM Shehbaz expressed his emotions for the warm reception by the Emir of Qatar and said, “Pakistan greatly values its special bond of friendship with Qatar! In this visit, we are adding momentum to Pak-Qatar ties. I look forward to the visit of His Highness the Amir to Pakistan soon!”
