President of Pakistan urges to highlight social distancing in Mosques on Media
20th April 2020 (GNP): Dr. Arif Alvi, the president of Pakistan has appealed to highlight the need for social distancing in Mosques on social media as well as print media. He has referred to the agreement between the government and Ulema on keeping the mosques open in times of lockdown.
An agreement between the government and the Ulema of the country had decided to keep the mosque open on the condition that people will keep in mind and practice social distancing. It was agreed upon than no more than 50 people will gather for the prayer at a time (GNP).
