PPRA dismisses claims questioning ePADS integrity

Islamabad (GNP) —Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) categorically rejects the allegation on the integrity of EPADS leveled in a statement that appeared in a section of the press.

The spokesperson of PPRA clarified that EPADS follows international protocols and standards for the safe custody and protection of data.

He elaborated that the system has been developed with technical support from the World Bank, and its security audit has been conducted by international technical experts, which is a testimony to the efficacy, reliability, and credibility of EPADS.
EPADS is a project of strategic and national importance, implemented in line with the Prime Minister’s Vision of Digital Pakistan and Pakistan’s international commitments to transparency and integrity in procurement.
Such unverified statements in the media undermine these national objectives, he added.

PPRA reiterates that the system ensures transparency at every stage through a complete audit trail and secure documentation. Any stakeholder having genuine evidence of malpractice is encouraged to formally submit it to the Authority. PPRA remains committed to investigate and take strict action against proven misconduct.

Baseless allegations without proof, however, are misleading and damaging to the credibility of public procurement reforms.
