Islamabad, 28 January 2023 (GNP): Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, former Prime Minister Imran Khan, was injured in a Wazirabad attack when he was holding a protest and leading from the front line. He received a burst of gunfire and fell down to the floor of a container.
Khan was admitted to Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centres (SKMCH&RC) Lahore for treatment. The former PM decided to shift to his residence, Zaman Park Lahore, after discharge from the hospital.

Moreover, Islamabad Police pulled out of Imran Khan’s security from the Zaman Park Lahore as well as the Bani Gala residence in Islamabad. They were justified that security would be provided if the former PM lived in his Banigala residence in Islamabad. Police cannot arrange security in Lahore. Therefore, they removed Islamabad police and other province security personnel from the Khan residences.

On the other hand, Senator Shibli Faraz said that Imran Khan’s security was being removed. He confirmed a letter had been received from the Punjab government. Faraz claimed that security should be arranged for the former Prime Minister because it is right to have security. Senator Faraz added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Police also moved out of Ex-PM Khan’s security.

He was very cautious about Khan’s security and had threats alert to kill. If any tragic incident happens, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah will be responsible, he tweeted. Imran Khan
