Islamabad, 2 March 2023 (GNP): Gen. Sahir Shamshad Mirza, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday in Islamabad.
During the meeting at the Prime Minister’s House Islamabad, the CJCSC and the premier discussed the general security situation in the nation and professional issues pertaining to Pakistan’s armed forces.

Following his promotion to the rank in November of last year, Gen. Sahir had a meeting with the prime minister. The prime minister had congratulated Gen. Sahir on taking on the duties of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Chairman. He had also admired Gen. Mirza’s professionalism and performance.

The prime minister referred to the army as a priceless national treasure and stated that under the leadership of the two most capable officers, the army would be strengthened further to strengthen the country’s security.
