Rawalpindi, 18 April 2023 (GNP): Four separate pitches have been set up at the Rawalpindi Stadium in Pakistan for the four upcoming international games against New Zealand, according to Head Curator Sarfraz Ahmad.
The Head Curator Sarfaraz Ahmad stated, “We have prepared different pitches for the four matches slated to be played at the Pindi Stadium for the next 12 days,” when speaking to a local publication.
Additionally, Sarfaraz Ahmad also added that pitches utilized for the two T20I games will be comparable to those used for the PSL 8 matches that took place in March.
“The pitches used for the T20I games will be much the same as those used for PSL games in March”.

Moreover, he said, “T20 cricket should be more slanted towards the batter in order to accommodate fans’ interests. That factor is taken into consideration when curating the surfaces”.
Rawalpindi Stadium will also host the opening two One Day Internationals of the five-match series between Pakistan and New Zealand.
He also added, “Obviously, for the one-day series, the first two matches’ supporting songs are being prepared. For the first two ODI games, there may be some grass present. Even the tiniest of grass might be used by a really fast bowler. The pitch, however, will also be appropriate for stroke play. These pitches will be highly effective”.
