Brussels, 31 October 2021 (GNP/ TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Brussels virtually held the 10th Khuli Katchery on Friday. Zaheer Aslam Janjua, Pakistan’s ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union, interacted with the Pakistani diaspora living in Belgium and Luxembourg during the session.

The Ambassador congratulated the Pakistani community on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, besides highlighting the significance of enhancing cooperation and sharing prospects on critical global issues, such as the Afghanistan crisis and the Generalised Scheme of Preferences (GSP+).

He also briefed the participants on ‘Kashmir Black Day’ and outlined the Embassy’s activities in this regard, which includes engagements with the think tanks and influential opinion-makers, with the purpose of highlighting human rights violations in the Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

In addition, Ambassador Janjua recalled the success of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Citizen Portal and appraised the Pakistani diaspora about Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi’s upcoming launch of the Grievance Redressal System (GRS) on November 1.

GRS is a mechanism that allows the stakeholders of private or public institutions to raise any issue or grievance and enables prompt actions on those problems. Speaking at the occasion, Ambassador Janjua further announced that the Embassy’s Facebook Page and Pakistan Television Corporation (PTV) would broadcast Qureshi’s inauguration ceremony as well.

Several community members from Belgium and Luxembourg attended the E-Katchery on Friday. Pakistan’s Embassy in Brussels received ultimate satisfaction from the community members over the Embassy’s viable approach in resolving their issues.
