Pakistan to Play England and Wales ahead of India Clash

Islamabad (GNP) :-   International Hockey Federation (FIH) has unveiled the match schedule for the upcoming FIH Hockey World Cup 2026, with Pakistan set to begin its campaign against England in a challenging group-stage lineup.

According to details, the tournament will be held from August 15 to 30, featuring the world’s top teams competing across venues in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Pakistan will open its campaign on August 15 against England at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. The match is scheduled to begin at 10:00 pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST).

The Green Shirts will play their second group match against Wales on August 17 at the same venue, with the match set to start at 3:30 pm PST.

One of the most anticipated fixtures of the tournament will see Pakistan take on arch-rivals India on August 19. The high-voltage clash will also be held at the Wagener Hockey Stadium and is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm PST.

The 2026 World Cup is expected to showcase top-quality hockey, with fans set to witness thrilling and competitive encounters throughout the event.

Pakistan, which recently secured qualification for the mega event, will be aiming to make a strong impression and progress to the knockout stage.
