Pakistan, China focusing on expanding mutual benefit cooperation

Islamabad, 11 November 2022 (GNP): Senator Mirza Muhammad Afridi was visited at his home by Ambassador Lin Songtain, president of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).
The Pakistani Senate’s deputy chairman is Senator Mirza Muhammad Afridi. The meeting’s keynote speaker, Ambassador Lin Songtain, suggested that for their mutual advantage, China and Pakistan should cooperate to explore the new potential in the social, cultural, and economic realms.
Syed Zafar Ali Shah, the Secretary-General of the Pakistan-China Friendship Association (PCFA), Pang Chunxue, the Chinese Charge d’Affaires, and Syed Ali Nawaz Gilani were also present at the meeting.

Lin Songtain commended the work done by PCFA Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the past more than three decades.

In this line, he proposed seeking fresh opportunities and benefiting from one another’s knowledge to promote social prosperity and economic growth.

He also talked about his experiences representing China as its ambassador to the continent of Africa. He claimed that genuine efforts and a distinct goal could increase the threshold for appropriate social behavior.

While the visiting CPAFFC group was warmly welcomed by the Deputy Chairman of the Senate, additionally, he extended his gratitude to China for its support during the floods.

Accordingly, Senator Mirza Muhammad Afridi declared that the two allied countries should build on their long-standing, positive partnerships to strengthen their ties for the benefit of future generations.

He also said that to learn from each other’s experiences, China and Pakistan should continue to enhance their sister city and interpersonal interactions. Both parties enjoyed trading and exchanging traditional souvenirs.
