Pakistan Army Will Consolidate Hard Earned Peace- COAS

The COAS lay a floral wreath at the Martyrs' Monument in Miranshah to honour the gallant troops who laid down their lives while safeguarding the homeland.

Miranshah, 23 December 2022 (GNP): General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), stated that the Pakistan Army will consolidate the hard-won peace made possible by the supreme sacrifices of the resilient Pakistani population and law enforcement institutions.

According to the ISPR, the army chief emphasized his commitment while engaging with frontline soldiers posted along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Miranshah, North Waziristan Tribal District, on Friday.

According to the COAS, in order to guarantee long-term peace through socioeconomic development, the army of Pakistan is focused on the shifting security situation and is resolved to fight back against the terrorists and destroy ties with their handlers.

He praised them for their professionalism, loyalty, and operational preparedness. The statement states, “While interacting with officers and men, the COAS commended their professionalism, high morale, and operational readiness.” Field commanders updated him on the latest security situation in the region and reaction procedures to counter the terrorist risk.

Army Chief paid a visit to SSG Terbela’s headquarters. He visited with officials and troops from the SSG, notably the elite Zarrar Company, whose soldiers bravely participated in the recent Bannu CTD complicated operation and aviation.

According to the ISPR statement, “The COAS praised their indomitable spirit, sacrifices, and commitment to duty in various operations. The COAS said SSG is the pride of the nation and it had proved its metal over the years.” He stated that the SSG is the pride of the nation and has proven its worth throughout the years.
