Pakistan and Qatar talk to improve cooperation

They analyzed various aspects of cooperation and mutual interests to tie-up historical backgrounds and cordial relations.

Islamabad, 24 January 2023 (GNP): Federal Minister of Finance and Revenue (Pakistan), Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar, met with Ali Bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Finance Minister of State of Qatar, in Doha. They agreed to build their cooperation in the fields of Science, Agriculture, Technology, Education, Trade, Finance, and investment.

According to the Press statement, the Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on government effectiveness, Dr. Muhammad Jahanzeb, and the Ambassador of Pakistan to Qatar also attended the meeting in Doha, Qatar.

In addition to that, they analyzed various aspects of cooperation and mutual interests to tie up historical backgrounds and cordial relations. Both leaders explored the opportunities in science, technology, agriculture, and education in Pakistan and Qatar.

Apart from that, Senator Dar greeted his counterpart to hold the historical tournament of FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar. He added that Qatar marked a landmark achievement in the success of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Dar appreciated the contribution of Qatar to the flood-affected areas in Pakistan.

Furthermore, the finance minister tweeted that the two leaders discussed avenues to enhance cooperation in the field of trade, finance and investment.

In the end, the Minister met with officials of Q Terminals, chaired by its CEO, Neville Bissett, and discussed avenues of cooperation in the field of logistics and port operations.
