Rawalpindi, 20 April 2023 (GNP): The fourth T20I between Pakistan and New Zealand in Rawalpindi has been called off due to poor weather. Before rain and hail began to fall, the Black Caps were 164 for 5 in 19 overs.
After winning the toss in the fourth T20I, Pakistan requested New Zealand to bat first.
Chad Bowes reached his first T201 half-century and appeared to be in excellent form. But it was Mark Chapman’s aggressive batting that helped the Kiwis get close to a respectable total. He scored 71 off just 42 balls.
However, with only seven balls remaining in the innings, it began to rain, and there was no further action.
Moreover, Imad Wasim was Pakistan’s top bowler, taking three wickets in the first ten overs to lead the team in wickets. Haris Rauf and Shaheen Afridi each received one.

Nevertheless, the players had to leave the pitch due to rain, hail and lighting. It would have been extremely difficult to prepare it even if the rain had stopped.
The images also demonstrate that there are several puddles on the ground that would have been challenging to fill.

New Zealand will feel a little let down since they were on their way to a respectable total and would have liked their chances of tying the series.
Pakistan still has a 2-1 series advantage and they will enter the final game determined to claim the series victory. Even though New Zealand is currently out of the running to win this series, they will make every effort to tie it up as the Men in Green aim to win and end it.
The next final match of the series is scheduled for Monday, April 24, at 9.30 p.m. IST (4 p.m. GMT).
