Nationwide protests erupted against soaring electricity bills

Widespread frustration over-inflated charges and over-billing has ignited demonstrations across the country. LESCO, facing divisions plagued by complaints of overcharging, struggled to rein in the issue despite management assurances.

Consumer grievances took a backseat, aggravating discontent. From bustling urban centers to remote locales, people united to denounce the staggering bill hikes. Lahore’s provincial capital became a focal point of these protests, marked by citizens’ outcry against heavy taxes. The demonstrators fervently demanded immediate bill reductions, decrying the burden on ordinary citizens.
