Dubai, 5 October 2021 (GNP/TDI): Zdravko Pocivalsek, the Slovenian Minister of Economic Development and Technology meets with Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, the Emirati Minister of Economy in Dubai.
Both sides agreed on strengthening bilateral relations by expanding economic cooperation. The two countries have excellent bilateral trade and in 2020 the trade between the two countries was about 124 million €. The Slovenian minister also analyzed the opportunities discussed for investment in Slovenia in their bilateral meeting in January and their outcomes.In the meeting, the Slovenian minister also emphasized Ljubljana-Dubai direct flights connecting Slovenia with UAE and Europe, which creates numerous economic and tourist opportunities for both states.
The Slovenian economic minister was on a visit to Dubai Expo with its business delegation. He underlined the importance of the Dubai Expo to widen partnerships. He also invited the Emirati minister on National Day of Slovenia on February 8, 2022. He also put emphasis on the conference that would take place on the National Day pavilion for discussing investment opportunities.
