Islamabad, 15 October 2021, (GNP/TDI): Chief of General Staff of Iran Armed Forces, Major General Mohammad Bagheri visited Naval Headquarters. He met the Chief of Naval Staff of Pakistan, Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi.
The Iranian CGS was presented with the guard of honor. He was later introduced to the Principal staff officers at Naval Headquarters.
The meeting between the two dignitaries involved discussions on bilateral naval collaboration, regional maritime environment, and possibilities of new avenues of cooperation.
Iranian CGS applauded Pakistan Navy’s efforts and collaboration in ensuring maritime security in the region including Pakistan’s navy initiative, ‘Regional Maritime Security Patrols’ (RMSP).
