Karachi, 16 April 2023 (GNP): Mohammad Rizwan may not play in the next third T20I match against New Zealand due to a back issue, and may instead be granted a break. The third match against New Zealand will be in Lahore on April 17.
In the seventh over of New Zealand’s batting innings during the second T20I encounter on Saturday, Rizwan exited the field and Mohammad Haris took over as the wicketkeeper.
Rizwan’s health is getting better, and the Pakistani captain Babar Azam said that after taking a one-match break, he might rejoin the team.

According to Captain Babar Azam, who spoke after the game, Rizwan is feeling better, and therefore he might just need one more game off before rejoining the team.
Rizwan and Babar’s opening partnership earlier in the innings gave the innings a strong 99-run start. Rizwan reached his 24th half-century in this format off 29 balls, smashing seven fours and a six.
With the help of 11 fours and 3 sixes, Azam went on to score 101 runs in 58 balls, giving his team a 2-0 series lead.
