Korean Embassy announces entries for K-pop Festival in Pakistan

Islamabad, 23 May 2024, (GNP): The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Islamabad has announced that the Regional Preliminary Round of the 2024 K-pop World Festival will be held on June 28th.

The Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) in Islamabad is about to experience the excitement of K-pop fever, with talented participants demonstrating their singing and dance cover abilities at this eagerly awaited event.

This festival, organized in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea, and KBS (Korean Public Service Media), seeks to enhance cross-cultural appreciation and celebrate the global impact of K-pop.

Aspiring participants are encouraged to submit their video entries for the online preliminary round, which are  open from May 17th to May 31st.

This preliminary round serves as the first stage of the competition, allowing contestants to showcase their talents virtually.

Following this, the competition will move to the live event phase, scheduled to take place from June 3rd to June 5th. During this live event, participants will perform in front of a panel of judges, further demonstrating their skills and passion for K-pop.

The event is structured to identify and celebrate the most talented individuals and groups from various regions. The selected teams from each country’s regional preliminary round will be awarded the prestigious opportunity to advance to the final round.

This final round is set to be held in Changwon, Republic of Korea, offering contestants not only a chance to compete on an international stage but also to experience the rich culture and vibrant atmosphere of Korea.
