King Charles sends condolences to Peshawar attack

He and his wife were shocked by the heinous assault on worshipers inside Mosque Police Line, Peshawar.

London, 3 February 2023 (GNP): The Royal family condemned the suicide explosion inside Mosque Peshawar, Police Line on Monday. King Charles sent a condolence message to the President of Pakistan on the Peshawar attack.

He and his wife were shocked by the heinous assault on worshipers inside Mosque Police Line, Peshawar. Anywhere they take place, such heinous acts of brutality are a horrific assault on shared humanity and principles of tolerance and compassion.

The message of King Charles to the President of Pakistan says, “My wife and I were profoundly shocked by the dreadful bomb attack in Peshawar on Monday.  Such acts of incomprehensible brutality, wherever they occur, are a barbaric assault on our shared humanity and our values of understanding and compassion. It is all the more horrific that the victims were in a place of worship during afternoon prayers.”

He further added, “We feel most deeply for all those who have been so cruelly bereaved and injured. We recall our visit to Pakistan in 2006 with the greatest fondness, and will hold the people of Pakistan in our special thoughts and prayers as you mourn those you have lost.”

They have the deepest sympathy for everyone who has suffered such heinous loss and harm. They had memories of the 2006 tour to Pakistan, and they will keep remembering the people of Pakistan in their hearts and prayers.
