Mason, 28 December 2022 (GNP): Adam Fox, the ringleader of the plot to kidnap the Governor of Michigan Gretchen Whitmer, has been sentenced to 16 years for plotting this kidnapping.
The group was critical of the COVID restrictions and policies of the Democratic Governor. That was the reason why they plotted to abduct Governor Whitmer, from her holiday home with other gang members, but the plot was busted by FBI agents.
Adam Fox was also convicted for the use of mass destruction weapon in this case. As the ringleader, he arranged and planned for the use of a bomb to blow up the bridge after the kidnapping of the Governor to stop the Police chase.

Adam Fox and his other fellow-in-crime, Barry Croft, were found guilty by a federal court last August for this plotting. Both perpetrators are the members of a radical militant group, the Three Percenters, known for anti-government and gun ownership rights. The majority of former servicemen are said to be members of this group.
The group planning and executing of the alleged crime was largely an outcome of the health policies of the State Governor during the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The prosecutors of the trial accused Adam Fox and his gang members of endangering the national and territorial security of the United States via this abduction.
They were also charged with sparking the Second American Revolution, thus starting the armed conflict in the US mainland very before the presidential elections in November 2020. The prosecuting team moved for life imprisonment, but District Court Judge Richard Jonker in Grand Rapids rejected this plea for life imprisonment.

However, the trial court recognized that to carry out such heinous crimes, a lot of money is needed for them. Adam Fox, the convicted ringleader, does not appear to be a natural leader of this plotting; he is merely a puppet controlled by some hidden hands.
Christopher Gibbons, the lawyer of Adam Fox, argued that the government is intentionally depicting a such picture of his defendant to frighten the American people.
With the start of this trial last August, the defending team of Fox and Croft categorically ruled out any possibility of such a Revolution or plot by saying that how only two men could do such a mammoth task of Revolution and adducting the sitting governor. They the blamed FBI for charging a false case against their clients.
