Karachi businessmen to travel Kyrgyzstan

Two sides agreed to send a delegation of Karachi businessmen working in construction, building materials production, tourism, mining and mineral processing, and education to Kyrgyzstan.

Islamabad, 29 December 2022 (GNP): The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Ulanbek Totuiaev met with the former Chairman of the Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan, head of the construction company “Bakshi Enterprises” (Karachi), Muhammad Hassan Bakshi, today.

The meeting was also attended by the director of the “WCI Educational Consultants” company Dr. Bashir Javed Paracha.
During the meeting, the parties discussed promising areas of cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan in terms of establishing contacts between business circles, increasing the volume of mutual trade, as well as implementing joint projects in many different areas.

In order to promote bilateral trade and economic cooperation, the parties agreed to organize in the first half of 2023 a visit of a delegation of businessmen from Karachi working in the fields of construction, production of building materials, tourism, mining and processing of minerals, as well as education to Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, they agreed to open a Trade House of Kyrgyzstan in Karachi, Pakistan, taking into account the very high level of economic activities in this region.

Ulanbek Totuiaev expressed his readiness to pay a working visit to Karachi and the Balochistan province of Pakistan early next year to discuss in more detail the prospects for bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, as well as to get acquainted with the possibilities of seaports in these regions.

He noted that the organization of access to these terminals is very important for Kyrgyz companies in order to send their products to the foreign markets.
