Joshua Tree Invisible House hits market for $26 million

The 'Invisible House' sits on 67 acres of land in the Joshua Tree National Park.

California, 18 January 2023 (GNP): The Invisible House is an architectural phenomenon that defies belief. It’s located in the Mojave Desert of Joshua Tree, California, USA and the property is unlike anything else in the world. The 5,500-square-foot home was designed by architect Tomas Osinski and film producer Chris Hanley.

It’s a 3-bedroom, 4-bathroom property that is almost 100 feet off the ground and contains panoramic views of the surrounding desert landscape. It has a 100-foot solar pool in the living room and bed frames in two of the bedrooms are made out of marble. The entire home has been built with environmental sustainability as an aim and includes a 32.4kW solar system for power.

The concept was born from the idea of creating a home that blends seamlessly into its natural surroundings, with its architects wanting to create a house that was not only environmentally friendly but also one that would disappear into the landscape.

American singers Lizzo and Demi Lovato have rented the property for $18 million (AU $26 million) and now it has been put out for rent in the market for the same price.
