Doha, 5 December, 2023 (GNP): Federal IT Minister Dr. Umar Saif is on a four-day visit to Doha to establish and enhance bilateral business ties in the IT sector between both countries.

According to the IT minister Qatar Free Zone will provide “huge opportunity for Pakistani startups for raising investments and launching in the region”.
Additionally, he inaugurated the Pakistan-Qatar IT conference in Doha that was attended by vast number of businessmen from Qatar and IT companies from Pakistan. Thus, raising prospects of collaborations and investments in Pakistan’s IT start-ups.

Pakistan’s Delegation visits Qatar Science and Technology Park:
A Pakistani delegation also visited the the Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP). The delegation was led by the IT minister Dr. Umar Saif.
Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) is one of Qatar’s free zone and a primary hub for technology advancement, research, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
During the visit the delegation was provided with an overview of innovative programs at QSTP and, explored opportunities for Pakistani start-ups in Doha.

Finally, the minister met with the President of the Qatar’s National Cyber Security Agency Engineer Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Maliki.
During the meeting both parties discussed ways to increase cooperation in cyber security and various ways to foster the partnerships.
