Geneva (GNP): The 352nd Session of the International Labor Organization 352nd Session Addresses Key Issues Governing Body is taking place in Geneva from 28th October to 7th November. During the session, the members will address different “work-related topics and review country-specific situations” under the supervisory framework.
The agenda of the International Labor Organization session includes a discussion of the future International Labor Conference sessions, updates on social justice initiatives, and reports on various resolutions concerned with fundamental rights.
Additionally, the conference will cover ILO’s strategic plans for 2026-2029 and assess the organization’s strategies and programs. Moreover, it will discuss the options for the employers’ and workers’ representatives from Myanmar to participate in the future sessions of the International Labor Conference.
Furthermore, the conference will also discuss the status of pending representations, particularly focusing on the status of Palestine in the ILO and its participation rights in future meetings.
Representative of Pakistan in the International Labor Organization 352nd Session
The Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OPHRD), Chaudhary Salik Hussain attended the meeting representing the OIC group.

Minister Salik said, “At 352nd Governing Body of ILO, Ch. Salik Hussain, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OPHRD), representing the OIC Group.”
During the session, he “delivered a statement underscoring the dire economic challenges facing Palestinian workers in Gaza and the West Bank.”
Additionally, he emphasized, “the OIC’s call for urgent international support to aid in recovery, job creation, and social protection initiatives and expressed support for ILO’s “building forward better” approach.”

Moreover, he delivered “a statement supporting membership of Palestine in the ILO with full and effective participation in pursuance of UN General Assembly resolution ES-10/23.”
