Imran Khan vows to defeat PPP in Sindh

Chairman PTI and former Prime Minister Imran Khan met with seniors leadership of Sindh.

Lahore, 24 February 2023 (GNP): Former Prime Minister and head of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan declared on Friday that his party will defeat the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Sindh in the next general elections.

When a PTI Sindh leadership delegation visited the former premier at his Zaman Park mansion, he made these comments.

Former Sindh Chief Ministers Liaquat Jatoi and Gaus Ali Shah met with PTI President of Sindh Ali Haider Zaidi in Lahore to address issues pertaining to the broader political scenario in Sindh.

Imran Khan made the announcement in the meeting that Gaus Ali Shah and Liaquat Jatoi would join the PTI central executive. Additionally, he gave Ali Zaidi instructions to organise a parliamentary board and expedite preparations for the general elections in Sindh.

Imran Khan asserted that the PTI would defeat the Pakistan peoples party in the general elections and that the people of Sindh desired an end to the imported administration and PPP rule.

The PTI chairman further declared that he would soon travel to all of Sindh’s districts to galvanise support for the next general elections.

Former Prime Minister had given instructions to the party’s Sindh leadership to run “strong” candidates in the elections.

Applications will be accepted for the 130 provincial assembly seats and 60 National Assembly seats up for election in Sindh next month, according to sources with knowledge of the situation.

Candidates’ names will be shortlisted by a seven-member PTI Sindh board under the direction of Ali Zaidi, and PTI central will make the official announcement.
