3 April 2020 (GNP) : IMF Executive Board approves US $109.4 Million Disbursement to Rwanda to address the COVID-19 Pandemic following the Rapid Credit Facility (RCF). The economic consequence of the COVID-19 pandemic is slowly emerging. It has given rise to external financing needs. Authorities have acted quickly to work towards stopping the spread of the disease.
The RCF fund will help authorities in stopping the disease by backstopping the decline in international reserve and will provide the budget for the spending aimed at containing the COVID-19 Pandemic. (GNP)
