1 April 2020 (GNP) : The Human Rights Watch has urged the Indian government to lift restrictions from the internet in Indian Occupied Kashmir. It has stressed the need for internet access that violates various rights. It also stated that the internet ban can be deadly during the times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The HRW senior official Deborah Brown added that the international community should priorities the violations of human rights especially during this health crisis under the guiding principles of the UN. (GNP)
