Washington, 19 December 2022 (GNP): Henry Kissinger, the US diplomat, warns of another World War if peace in Ukraine will not be brought.
Former US Secretary of State in the Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford administrations, Henry Kissinger, called for a negotiated peace with Russia to reduce the threat of another world war.
Still, Ukraine rejected this proposal as the “appeasement of the aggressor,” saying that there would be no compromise on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of their land.
The architect of the US cold war detente policy toward the Soviet Union suggested peace negotiation last May on the supposition that Russia would withdraw to its pre-February frontline positions and Crimea, annexed by Moscow in 2014, would be a subject of this Peace Negotiation between Ukraine and Russia.
The new strategic changes that developed after February 2014 Ukraine-Russia war should be weaved into a new structure for gaining and maintaining world peace through negotiations.
Through these peace negotiations, NATO would also be linked to Russia via Kyiv. Ukraine applied for membership in NATO last September.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an aide to President Zelensky, turned down this peace proposal by the ex-Secretary of State as the appeasement of the aggressor on the mere guarantee of non-aggression in the future from the aggressor.
Meanwhile, CIA Director William Burns also expressed his similar views in an interview that although all conflicts end on table talk, the analysis of his agency says that Moscow right now is not in a serious mood to end this conflict through negotiation.
“The Special Military Operation,” as it is called by Moscow for their invasion of Ukraine, stood on regaining the past glory of the Soviet Union for the successor state Russia, which America, along with their western allies, is bent upon destroying.
The 99years old ex-Secretary also warned Washington and its allies that any attempt to make Russia “impotent” or seeking a “dissolution” of it would unleash chaos in which neither Ukraine nor their western allies could survive.
