Islamabad, 5 December 2022 (GNP): In association with Hunerkada, the Community Development Center (CDC), and Pakistan in the World, the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Pakistan held a “Family Gala” on December 4, 2022.
The gathering was attended by business community members, journalists, government officials, and families from the diplomatic corps.
The Family Gala included a number of events in addition to musical performances, enjoyable games, and a booth selling handicrafts created by Pakistani women entrepreneurs.

The Indonesian ambassador to Pakistan, Ambassador Adam M. Tugio, expressed his appreciation for the organizers’ efforts and collaboration in making the occasion joyful.

According to the Envoy, “It was specifically meant for the friends and family of Embassies and to mark Animal Rights Day.”

Afshan Tehseen, the Chair of the National Commission on the Rights of Children (NCRC), was the event’s chief guest and praised the Indonesian Embassy for organizing the cultural event warmly.

The occasion improved ties between the two Muslim-brotherly countries. She stated in her remarks that the event’s purpose was to teach people the value of treating animals with the same respect that we treat people.

The Envoy’s truck with the official paint job was also on show. Popular cultural symbols from Indonesia and Pakistan are used to decorate the vehicle.
The ladies of the Indonesian Embassy sang “Angklung” of Dil-Dil Pakistan, mesmerizing the audience.

The structure of the Indonesian angklung is a bamboo frame with two to four bamboo tubes suspended inside it and bound with rattan cords.

Because each Angklung can only produce one note or chord at once, numerous players must work together to create tunes. Angklung captures Indonesian culture’s cooperative and friendly essence in all its richness.

The outstanding musical performances by the Hunerkada team demonstrated their mastery of the flute and tabla. The Indonesian song “Hello hello, Sayang Ku” was also sung by a female singer.

The song “Hello dear one” is from the well-known Pakistani film “Bandish.” The CDC’s efforts to promote animal welfare at the event received accolades from attendees.

Among the well-known specialties of Indonesian and Pakistani cuisines that were also provided were meatball soup, chicken sate with fried rice, biryani, haleem, nihari, the original design of adorned baking goods, fashion and clothing, a range of handmade henna stalls, and pet accessories. The “Family Gala” event brought families together while entertaining guests of all ages.
