Foreign Ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia signed a deal
Moscow, 6 December 2022 (GNP/ TDI): Jeyhun Bayramov, the foreign minister of Azerbaijan, and Sergei Lavrov, the foreign minister of Russia, signed a bilateral relations agreement together in Moscow.
Both Leaders work to make sure that their bilateral ties are strengthened. During the ceremony, they discussed a number of topics that will help them maintain closer ties.
Regarding the topic of trade ties, Russia has played a key role in those with Azerbaijan.

The issue of ensuring that both benefit from each other when it comes to trade terms where is a major concern. Also, the issue of peaceful relations was highlighted as they look forward to working closely with each other.
Another important agenda was the cancellation ceremony of postage stamps dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between them.
This ceremony opened the gateway to their diplomatic relations. As they seek to foster strong ties, the need to promote diplomatic relations is much paramount.
The Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan expressed his sincere gratitude to the government of Russia for this new development. Stating that he is very hopeful that this move will yield positive results in the end.
Adding to the fact that Russia has always been both partner and friend to the people of Azerbaijan and therefore there is a need to promote diplomatic relations with them. They will seek to trade, work closely and promote international interests.

In addition, the Foreign Minister of Russia, Sergei Lavrov thanked his counterpart for his commitment and for taking these steps.
He further emphasized that Russia is always open to the government and the people of Azerbaijan. Additionally, they will continue to support them economically and in human resources development.
Azerbaijan-Russia relations
Azerbaijan and Russia have long-established relations. It is pertinent to note that both countries have had strategic partnership relations and political cooperation. This new development will set to rekindle these relations.
