Athens, 5 October 2021 (GNP/TDI): Nikos Dendias, the Foreign Minister of Greece met with Nikos Christodoulides, the Foreign Minister of Cyprus in Athens.

The Greek Foreign Minister warmly welcomed the Foreign Minister of Cyprus in Athens, the capital of Greece. Both sides discussed their recent meetings on the occasion of the 76th United Nations General Assembly session in New York. In the meeting, they also talked about the close cooperation of both states.
The recent bilateral security agreement between Cyprus and France was also discussed. The Defense treaty between the two states will help them to strengthen their bilateral relations as well as will help to create stability in the region.
Greece and Cyprus enjoy friendly relations. The two countries have long interrelated histories. The two countries further aim to strengthen their bilateral relations by supporting each other in difficult times.
