Event on inauguration Pak-German Friendship Society

The event aims at boosting bilateral relations, especially in the fields of sports, culture & trade.

Berlin, 15 December 2022 (GNP): The Pakistan-German Friendship Society’s inauguration ceremony took place today at the Pakistan Embassy in Berlin.

This civil society organization was started by members of the Pakistani community in Berlin to promote Pakistan’s rich history, especially the mobility of capable individuals, via sports, diplomacy, education, business, the arts, culture, and other endeavors.

Its goal is to boost current capabilities in the aforementioned areas in order to boost collaboration across many other fields for the benefit of both countries and their citizens.

The guests were told by Wahab Awan, the chairman of the Pakistan-German Friendship Society, that the platform’s objective was to build a particular friendship between the two friendly countries.

Mutual collaboration, particularly in the areas of athletics, the arts, culture, and trade, would be used to accomplish this. The society’s members spoke during the ceremony as well.

They reaffirmed their dedication to fostering people-to-people exchanges and bilateral collaboration in order to foster greater understanding between the people of Pakistan and Germany.

In contrast, Dr. Muhammad Faisal, the Pakistani ambassador to Germany, stated in his speech that there had been outstanding bilateral connections between Pakistan and Germany for 70 years, which ended last year.

He emphasised how Germany has consistently supported Pakistan as a dependable ally and global partner. The official launch of this conference, he claimed, will strengthen ties between the two nations.

Furthermore, during the ceremony, the official charter of the society was signed by the founding members, in the presence of the Ambassador of Pakistan and other members of the organization.

The Ambassador of Pakistan also assured full cooperation from the Embassy to implement the efforts in this regard. It is pertinent to note that several members of Pakistani society and local Germans also participated in the event.
