New York, 28 February (GNP): Bloomberg reported on Monday that Elon Musk had reoccupied the title of the World’s richest person.
In last December, Bernard Arnault, CEO of the French luxury vendor LVMH, toppled the Tesla CEO from the top rank, pinning Musk at No. 2 for more than two months.
Musk’s problematic acquisition of Twitter and a general tech sector slowdown caused Tesla’s (TSLA) stock to plunge last year.
Yet as of Monday, according to Bloomberg, a surge in Tesla shares has again positioned Musk at the top of the Billionaires Index.

Musk holds the record for the most fortune a person has ever lost. Musk became the first person to have ever received a $200 billion wealth loss as his net worth tumbled from over $340 billion in November 2021 to $137 billion in December 2022.
As of Monday night after the markets closed, Musk’s net worth was around $187.1 billion slightly surpassing Arnault’s wealth of $185.3 billion, Bloomberg said in the report.
