Elon Musk fires top engineer for his low Tweet reach

He fired the engineer after holding a meeting.

Toronto, 13 February 2023 (GNP): Many questioned that Twitter CEO Elon Musk asked a Twitter developer how the network worked when he closed his Twitter account earlier this month to manually test if locked tweets garnered more views than public tweets.

According to a recent source, Musk did meet with engineers following his test, and as a result of that meeting, he fired an engineer rashly for attempting to offer a different explanation for why Musk’s tweet views might be decreasing.

According to sources, the meeting took place on Tuesday. Musk asked his team, which included engineers and advisors, why his account, which has ‘more than 100 million followers’, would only be receiving ‘tens of thousands of impressions’. According to numerous reports, Musk said, “This is crazy.”

A major engineer spoke up to say that the fall might be caused by a quickly detectable decline in the public’s interest in Musk. Employees at Twitter provided internal data that matched a Google Trends chart to support the engineer’s claims.

They also disclosed the findings of an analysis of Twitter’s algorithm, which revealed ‘no bias’ against the CEO. The employee who claimed that after Musk’s decision to buy Twitter in April, people have been less interested in following all of Musk’s activities online, was promptly fired after Musk expressed dissatisfaction with none of this.

“You’re fired,” Musk told the engineer. His name hasn’t been disclosed due to concerns that the engineer could face online harassment.
