Islamabad, 14 February 2023 (GNP):For the purpose of consultation over the date of the general elections for the provincial legislature, the Election Commission of Pakistan has sent a letter to the Governor of Punjab.
At its meeting on Monday in Islamabad, the Election Commission—chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja—reviewed the Lahore High Court’s ruling from February 10 and discussed how to carry it out.

The Special Secretary and Director General of Law, working under the direction of the Secretary Election Commission, were given permission by the commission to meet with the Governor and inform the commission of the next course of action.
