Islamabad, 31 January 2023 (GNP): The Election Commission of Pakistan declared him as president and set aside the decision of Committee (CWC) PML-Q January 31. The Central Working Committee (CWC) finalized its resolution to remove Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain due to severe health concerns.

A petition was filed by the former Prime Minister, Hussain, in the Election Commission of Pakistan to decide the matter of PML-Q’s party head.

The tension between Parvez Elahi and Shujaat Hussain scaled up when they decided to join the PDM, and Elahi went to the camp of PTI. And this tussle led to the partition of the party into pieces.
The electoral body announced its decision on the petition of the former president, and it was reserved by the Commission on August 18, 2022.
