Kabul, 22 December 2022 (GNP): Afghanistan’s Cricketer Rashid Khan showed his concerns about the ban on girls from education.
Taliban banned women’s education when they seized power in 2021. They assured the international community that it was a temporary ban, but they still kept women from attending schools and educational institutions
Afghan media outlets reported that Afghan’s Ministry of education ordered all private and public institutions to stop educating women until further notice.
The decision was so sudden when women returned to school; their teachers were forced not to allow them to sit in class. Showing solidarity with their female class fellow, some male students also leave the class.
