Brasília, 7 January 2023 (GNP): Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva vowed to take severe action against those who attacked the state institutions this morning majority of the rioters were the supporters of the former President Jair Bolsonaro as reported by state media and the independent sources as well.
The supporters of the ousted president stormed the Supreme Court and the presidential complex in an attempted coup, as described by the Brazilian state media and followers of the president-incumbent Lula.
The Police officials confirmed that more than 300 persons have been arrested in this rioting and storming and those who are involved in these attacks are to be searched and cracked down on by the Brazilian Police. They said that they have regained full control over all the state buildings and that there is no building or place that is right now in the control of supporters of former president Jair Bolsonaro.
The military supporting president Lula circled a camp of former president Jair Bolsonaro s’ supporters. A number of such camps have been set up by the supporters of Bolsonaro as their base camps throughout Brazil since the last general elections in October.

The Brazilian Supreme Court has suspended the governor of Brasília for three months because of his inefficiency to stop the rioters from attacking the state buildings.
However, Ibaneis Rocha, the governor of Brasília, expressed his remorse to the Supreme Court for this inefficiency. Left-wing leaders and groups are rallying across the country in support of president Lula.
The emergency powers granted to him by the Brazilian constitution were invoked by President Lula for dispatching and restoring order in the capital after rioting by former president Bolsonaro ‘s supporters. The National Guards after clashes with rioters restored order in the capital Brasília.
Meanwhile, Bolsonaro who is reported to be in Florida also condemned this attack on the Congress and state buildings. Jair Bolsonaro refused to accept his defeat in the general elections in last October.
