
Riyadh, 8 June, 2023 (GNP): According to a US official, US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MbS) met early on Wednesday to discuss various bilateral issues on the sidelines of the Gulf Cooperation Council state’s (GCC) ministerial meeting in Riyadh.
During the meeting the to leaders discussed various issues including the Iran policy, regional security challenges, oil pricing, and human rights.

Washington also hopes to advance discussions about a potential normalization of relations between the kingdom and Israel while containing growing Russian and Chinese influence in the region, the US official said.

According to the US official, Blinken and the crown prince met for one hour and forty minutes and discussed bilateral issues, including Israel, the Yemen conflict, and the upheaval in Sudan.
Furthermore, Blinken praised the crown prince for the kingdom’s support in evacuating the US people and promoting a truce in Sudan.
