Islamabad, 4 May 2024, (GNP): Imran Khan expressed his willingness to engage in discussions. In a statement he outlined that he is ready to have a discussion but will not settle for a deal.
In a conversation with journalists at Adiala jail, Khan emphasized that negotiations have always been a part of politics, typically conducted with opponents rather than allies. He reiterated his party’s stance of being open to talks with everyone except the three specific parties.
“Someone who wants to leave the country or avoid imprisonment makes a deal,” he said.
Imran Khan highlighted that these individuals, namely Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Omar Ayub, and Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Shibli Faraz, are well-suited for engaging in meaningful discussions due to their positions and influence within their respective spheres.
He stressed the importance of constructive dialogue in resolving differences and fostering collaboration for the betterment of the country.
“I have proposed these three names for talks and not a deal,” the incarcerated leader maintained.
Imran Khan urged for transparency and efficiency in the legal proceedings, emphasizing that filing all cases at once would facilitate a fair and comprehensive resolution.
He reiterated his commitment to cooperate with the legal process and expressed confidence in his ability to address any allegations transparently and effectively.

Additionally, Khan emphasized the importance of focusing on issues that directly impact the welfare and progress of the nation.
Just a day earlier, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan asserted that his party was currently not engaged in any dialogues with any parties and did not have any specific message regarding negotiations.
Speaking to journalists outside Rawalpindi’s Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar emphasized that the former premier was confronting what he deemed as “politically-motivated” cases. He further conveyed that the PTI founder had urged the judiciary to expedite judgments on these cases.
“Ali Amin Gandapur, Omar Ayub Khan and Shibli Faraz have been given the go-ahead to hold talks, but not to strike a deal,” Gohar said, adding that they were to talk to anyone except three political parties.
