Bangkok, 6 October 2021 (GNP/TDI): Ambassador of Maldives to Thailand, Mohamed Jinah met with Thailand’s Ambassador and the Director-General of Department of South Asian, Middle Eastern, and African Affairs, Darm Boontham.

The goal of the meeting was to share essential information and discuss a variety of international issues. The two states focused on ways to strengthen diplomatic ties. Along with promoting peace and cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

Thailand is the most important trading and development partner of the Maldives. Both formal and informal ties between the two countries are strong and long-standing. They established diplomatic relations on June 21, 1979. This year makes the 42nd anniversary of their diplomatic ties.
